Styrene-Butadiene Latex—What You Need to Know...
Styrene–butadiene latex (SBL) is an aqueous solution with a solid content of 30%–50%, obtained through emulsion polymerization of butadiene (B) and styrene (S). It is synthesized via emulsion polymerization using varying ratios of styrene and butadiene. Depending on the styrene content, the type of emulsifier, and the polymerization temperature, numerous grades are available, each exhibiting distinct properties and applications. SBL is used as a coating binder to impart maximum pigment‑binding strength and resistance to wet abrasion in coated papers. Increasing the styrene content enhances gloss but also increases the stiffness of the coated paper. The production of styrene–butadiene latex involves an emulsion polymerization process, resulting in a highly complex polymeric system.

On the afternoon of April 8, 2019, Mr. Ryo Yuji Koguro, General Manager of the Sales Department at Mitsubishi Chemical (China) Management Co., Ltd., along with Ms. Yang Jie, Senior Manager, and Mr. Hiroo Kawakami, General Manager of the High-Performance Materials Division at Meihe Industry (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., together with Managers Wu Yizhe and Xiang Zong, paid a visit to Liangjingjing New Materials. Accompanied by our company’s General Managers Yan, Lu, and Wang, as well as Zeng Can and Song, they toured our production base and engaged in friendly discussions regarding potential future cooperation. General Manager Yan provided an overview of the company. During the meeting, General Manager Yan first extended, on behalf of Liangjingjing New Materials, a warm welcome to the delegation from Mitsubishi Chemical and Meihe Industry.

EOC Group paid a visit to our company for an inspection.
On January 22, 2019, a delegation led by Mr. Pan, an executive of Belgium’s Urethane Group, along with Mr. David and Mr. Lin, Head of the China Region, paid a visit to Fujian Liangjingjing New Materials Co., Ltd. Our company’s Chairman Zeng Weijie, General Manager Zeng Junfeng, and other senior executives warmly received the distinguished guests. The two sides held discussions aimed at further advancing their cooperation. A group photo was taken during the meeting. During the talks, Chairman Zeng Weijie extended a warm welcome to Mr. Pan, Mr. David, and Mr. Lin on their return visit. There is a group of people who are resolute, strong-willed, and unwavering; they have dreams and convictions. They’ve given themselves a name: the “Ge Team.” Over the past decade, East China University of Science and Technology has progressed from “Ge 5” to this year’s “Ge 14,” with their ultimate challenge set in the vast Gobi Desert. Using running—the simplest of human activities—they trek across the desert, pushing themselves to their limits. As for this kind of “crazy” approach, I was completely unfamiliar with it and still very much a novice. This age-old method of testing one’s physical limits in extreme conditions is perhaps humanity’s most profound demonstration of adapting to and surviving in nature. During three days of training, as part of the logistical support team, I successfully made it onto the “Ge 14” roster.
