Carboxylated styrene–butadiene latex exhibits excellent chemical stability; it can be applied using high‑speed mixers, making coating operations straightforward, and it readily blends with other coatings. It also demonstrates outstanding mechanical stability, can be incorporated at elevated temperatures, and maintains superior thermal stability without degradation during use. Coating performance is exceptional: it delivers a smooth, uniform finish with no noticeable mottling, streaking, or splattering, and does not introduce any gelatinous residues. Production efficiency is high—coating can be carried out at high speeds without fouling the back roller or the calendering rolls—and the coating exhibits strong adhesion. For coated paper applications, carboxylated styrene–butadiene latex produces aesthetically pleasing, high‑quality coated papers, characterized by high brightness, enhanced base‑paper gloss, excellent printability, and superior surface smoothness. This product line offers a complete range of carboxylated styrene–butadiene latexes tailored for paper and cardboard coating, suitable for surface and back coatings as well as bonding in decorative base papers, abrasion‑resistant papers, mid‑ to high‑grade coated papers, white linerboard, cardboard, and containerboard.
While enhancing production efficiency and reducing costs, carboxylated styrene–butadiene latex can improve the performance and quality of paper and cardboard. It exhibits excellent printability: the coating does not flake off, surface strength is high, printing productivity is improved, printing speed can be increased, no hot‑spotting occurs, and it can be re‑rolled immediately. It also offers superior ink absorption and fastness, along with enhanced air permeability and anti‑foaming properties, achieving an outstanding balance. For textile applications, this latex delivers excellent ink uptake, eliminates spotting, and produces prints with a smooth, attractive surface. Carboxylated styrene–butadiene latex is a terpolymer, characterized by high film‑forming strength and adhesion; excellent stability, water resistance, and flowability; large filler loading capacity; good moldability; superior mechanical, chemical, and freeze–thaw stability; and excellent compatibility with pigments and fillers.
