Under the radiant spring light, the fragrance of books filled the room. On March 26, the first reading sharing session of Liangjingjing for 2026 was successfully held. Colleagues stepped away from their busy work routines, gathered together, and used books as a medium to connect and exchange ideas. Through words, they encountered new thoughts, and through conversations, they drew strength, sharing a fulfilling and heartwarming time immersed in reading.

1. Suspension: A Complete Biography of Zhang Xueliang — Liu Shirui, Production Department

Taking history as a mirror, one can understand the rise and fall of eras. The presenter led the audience through time, looking back at those stirring and tumultuous years—from national turmoil to the awakening of the people, from individual choices to the currents of history—deeply appreciating the sense of patriotism and responsibility of past generations. “Though today we do not face the test of bullets and fire, the original aspiration to take the world as our own responsibility has never been outdated,” the speaker reflected. “On the new journey of national rejuvenation, our generation must take up the baton of history, integrate personal growth into the broader vision of enterprise development and national progress, and fulfill our missions in our respective roles, writing our own answers to the call of our time.”

2. The Old Man and the Sea — Tian Jinshan, Production Department

“A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” This classic line from Santiago’s struggle against the sea and against fate in the book struck a chord with everyone present. Drawing parallels to real work experience, the presenter shared that life is like a vast ocean—we all encounter storms and setbacks: project hurdles, challenging tasks, unforeseen difficulties—all like crashing waves. Yet, just as the old man never let go of his harpoon, we too must hold fast to an indomitable spirit when facing difficulties. Through adversity, we forge our will; through perseverance, we break through our limits. With resilience and courage, we can write our own “victory.”

3. Impetuousness — Cheng Xing, Production Department

In today’s fast-paced world, calmness and depth are more precious than ever. Centered on the book Impetuousness, the presenter shared reflections that linked real life with workplace realities:

As society evolves rapidly and work accelerates, it’s easy to become anxious and restless in the pursuit of goals—overlooking the value of staying grounded. True growth has never been about rushing to succeed; it comes from taking time to accumulate strength, steadying one’s mindset, and focusing on the task at hand. Only by setting aside impatience, cultivating concentration, and deepening one’s expertise can we move steadily toward lasting achievement—and accomplish extraordinary results in ordinary roles.

4. Thinking, Fast and Slow — Lei Hechen, EHS Department

In a fast-paced work environment, we often rely on quick intuition to make judgments, yet we risk falling into cognitive traps. Drawing on the theory of "fast thinking" and "slow thinking" from the book, the presenter encouraged everyone to reexamine their decision-making patterns: “Fast thinking is efficient but error-prone; slow thinking is more effortful but more rational.” “In an era of rapid progress, we need to learn to ‘slow down’ — to exercise greater prudence before important decisions, to think more deeply when faced with complex issues. By steering clear of intuitive pitfalls, we can make more efficient, more rational judgments, giving every choice a stronger foundation.”

5. Be Your Own Light — Wang Qin, Quality Inspection Department

“There is no need to wait for someone else to light the way—we ourselves are the light.” With warm yet powerful words, the presenter encouraged everyone to root themselves within, to grow in harmony with their true selves. In an age filled with anxiety and comparison, we often long for external validation and guidance, overlooking our own inner strength. “By dedicating ourselves to our roles and holding steady in our daily work, every one of us can become our own sun,” the speaker said. “There’s no need to envy the light of others—focus on being the best version of yourself. When countless small beams of light come together, they will illuminate the path ahead, and you will eventually become the person you aspire to be.”

The reading sharing session was not merely a transfer of knowledge, but a collision of ideas and a connection of hearts. Amid the busy work schedule, this event offered us a chance to set aside fatigue, to settle ourselves in the fragrance of ink, and to broaden our horizons through conversation—some drew a sense of responsibility from history, others gained resilience from fiction, some learned rationality from psychology, and others found strength in self-acceptance through inspirational words.

Looking ahead, may we all encounter the better versions of ourselves through books, and in walking side by side, may we continue to inject lasting spiritual momentum into Liangjingjing’s high-quality development.
